Great food fast service.

Very good and you get a lot of food.

My wife and I dropped our daughter off at SDSU and then went to this restaurant to eat, great atmosphere, decent service, and the sushi tasted great. However my wife and I woke up sick the next day. I spent the entire day puking, sweating, and running to the restroom. We ate there on Sunday June 23rd around 7pm. I think it was the Brookings role that got us so sick, we took my daughter a different role and she did not get sick. So, we will not be going back.

Best in Brookings. Probably the only in Brookings but, still pretty darn good.

Best customer service in Brookings compared to other restaurants and one of the best places I've eaten sushi at in our Country. Only terrible wait time you'll have is on their discount day, but also worth the wait!

Great place to get sushi. It's kinda dark inside. The interior design of the restaurant is very nice and the sushi is delicious.

Hibachi with no grill or show... where is my onion volcano? Decent food, the same experience of Hibachi without the show and pony. One star less for that, but the Buddha beer was great!

Horrible service!!!!!! Came in for a nice meal with a couple friends. Server ignored us for ever. After getting our drinks we ordered soup was very good. But took a while to get our sushi. My order came out wrong. Not what I asked for. After me telling the server she hounded me saying that is what I said. And I for sure didn’t. After eating some of it I couldn’t eat it anymore. Was disgusting a rubbery. I did not tip because of how she told me it was my fault it came out like that. (Witch it was not). The other server came over with the books and try’s to force me to leave a tip. And I respectfully told her no I have no reason to tip today. And just keeps asking us to leave a tip. I will not be back. That was the most disrespectful thing I have seen in a restaurant. If you go be ready to be hounded for a tip. Or be told your wrong!

This is my favorite place to eat in town by far and have gone there weekly for years.

Best sushi period

Really good. I was there on a Sunday and found out that they have half price on Monday. But food was so good I didn't mind. In my group of 8 I was the only non sushi eater but they had delish hibachi options and I had filet and chicken for about $20

A refreshing change of pace for Brookings SD. Both the sushi and hibachi are excellent.

We love this place! The kids can't get enough of the sushi and the hibachi. There favorites include the Surf's Dream and the Lover's rolls. My favorite is the chicken and udon noodles. We always get the gyoza appetizer. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

The food and service is great, if you like sushi, definitely give this place a try.

It's dark, comfortable and the food was great. Came out quick. Was also inexpensive and high quality.

Food was good but service was not. Not only did my appetizer come after my food but not once did they come and see if I needed a refill or if the food was good. They were very quick to bring the bill and run the card though. Overall good food but not good customer service.

Great food, fabulous service but a bit pricey

Waited over an hour for our order. Went to check on why it was taking so long. But it sounded like they forgot it. Told us almost ready still waited 20 more mins. We just left:(

Good sushi and steak hibachi! Seems like prices went up and portion size down recently though. Still an awesome place... So much so that I actually miss it when I'm at sushi places in big cities when I'm traveling.

Not a bad place for dinner if you’d like some sushi- a rather rare commodity in the Midwest. From places I’ve been elsewhere on the coasts, it seems to be of similar quality. The fried ice cream is quite exquisite, particularly the green tea one, and if you’re a university student on a budget, then Monday nights at half off is a must. For you cheap blokes out there, it’s a great dating spot, in particular on Monday nights. They do however, lose one star for not having stellar service. I don’t expect them to be perfect every time, but occasionally on busier nights they will simply not go back to the table they’re serving but only to give the check. For example, tonight I was hungry enough to order another roll of roasted salmon, but the check was dropped off without asking if I would like anything else, so I ended up paying and going elsewhere for a little fix. Overall, best place in town for sushi.

Great healthy option. A fresh and high quality food.

This is the only place where my wife can get the fish she likes. The place however is really dark. Very low lighting. The presentation of the food is the best in the area for miles around. It is very good food. The taste is spot on. It is a little on the high side but a good place for a romantic meal.

Great food

This little guy says the lemons are on point, sour! But the food here is amazing and the staff are even better! They are always available to refill your drinks, grab you some more condiments, and anything else you need.

Decently good lunch level sushi. If you know what you're doing you can for sure get a good sushi experience for a reasonable price
